For more than thirteen years, Mary Ann DeRosa has been a freelance writer and instructional designer for the pharmaceutical industry.


She designs and develops training and marketing programs in a variety of formats ranging from e-learning modules to slide-supported training sessions to highly interactive application-based workshops and train-the-trainer programs.

Mary Ann holds a BS degree in Marketing from Seton Hall University and an MBA in pharmaceutical marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her career began at Hoffmann-La Roche where she worked in various positions including pharmaceutical sales representative, medical center representative, career trainer, and market analyst. Prior to forming Mariada Inc, Mary Ann worked for a major healthcare advertising and communications company where she analyzed commercial trends and opportunities in the central nervous system (CNS) and cancer markets.


 

A quality writer, Mary Ann designs and develops disease state training programs, product learning programs, launch programs, workshops, and interactive learning systems. She is most proud of her achievement in developing a results-based learner-centered Trainer Certification Program for international marketers at Pharmacia Worldwide.

Mary Ann also develops programs to train sales professionals on how to sell in a managed care environment and how to use pull-through to influence the prescribing behavior of physicians. She is knowledgeable in developing programs that distinguish different parts of Medicare and private payor reimbursement (coverage, coding, and payment). Most recently, she designed and developed learning workshops on reimbursement for erythropoiesis stimulating agents (ESAs) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) biologics currently marketed in the United States.
